Gary:
You probably know the message by now... I truly hope you have a good week. You seemed a little busy on Saturday to chat, and while that's too bad for me, it's also understandable...

Hey Gary, just wanted to let you know that I think you're absolutely amazing. I'm a huge fan of BR5-49 and your solo album. You're an incredible song writer. I met you in Cleveland after a show at Peabodys about 7 years ago and I could really tell that you have a true love for your music. Rightly so. You're an amazing talent and I can't wait for your next release. Thanks for your songs man!

Hey Gary and Arigon,

Thanks for the Birthday greetings! We had a good time, didn't see any eagles on the deck though :(. A tornado did do some damage in the Hazel Dell area Thursday. We had a lot of hard rain and thunder. That was the worst of it here. Thanks again :)

Mary Sue - Friday, December 21st, 2007 5:28 PM

Gary,
I came to see you with BR-549 at Cain's in Tulsa a few years ago. You were great! One of the funnest concerts I've been to. After the concert I asked to see your boots and you were gracious enough to put your foot/boot in my hands! You told me you had them made in El Paso. I would LOVE to have that pair of your boots! Let me know. Kristy from Oklahoma
P.S. Love your twang!!

Why do spammers have to spread their spam doo around? Create your own website or guestbook and write "good site" all over it! You don't pay for this guestbook so leave it alone. Geez! Spammers are nothing but parasites...

Lande - Sunday, September 23rd, 2007 11:56 AM
Hi Gary, hope you remember me,I'm from Brazil, we met at Robert´s in 1994, I am a friend of Brad Lee from Michigan. Though I haven't seen you since then, I consider you a friend, and I am really glad to know you've made it so far! Best wishes buddy!

Sharon Beckham - Tuesday, September 11th, 2007 7:52 PM
I dug out my old cd's the other day and your songs, music and voice brought me such renewed happiness.
I am sorry about the deaths or your loved ones. I lost my son in Aug. 2002.
I bought your cd The Human Condition but haven't recieved it yet.
You were the best member of BR549. Your singing was the best and your songs were the best.
You are so talented. I wish that you had a show date and look forward to new music by you.
Please don't quit.

great to meet you and very much enjoyed the show, thanks for a great night out( in four years!) just wanted to post here for you and all of your people a unique record store named HiFi Stereo Shop in Fairmount IN in business since 1960 Helen Broyles is the owner, I was in IN for business this week and stopped in(been a few years since) and she is ready to retire, she's tired, sometime this year she said, it's only her running the shop, it's truly a step back in time, one foot in the past as well as the other foot in the present, all records 45's and 33's sealed, current stock as well as original stock, prices are listed catalog value, new albums as well, it's just something folks have to see and it they have visited James Dean old town she will close up sometime, she's been doing it so long, let's send her out with as much profit as possible and enjoy all the treasures that are there. Cash only, no atm's in the downtown nor checks accepted at her store, I forgot she's cash only and when I travel I'm only plastic so I went across the street to the bank and they gave me a cash advance on my cc, only open Th, Fri and Sat 11:30 to 5:30pm, phone orders accepted (765) 948-4533, get it, 45...33? highway 69 exit 55 to fairmount, good antique shopping as well, it's just a gem, lots of country, still sealed original stock... FYI

Cal Skomski - Thursday, March 23rd, 2006 5:23 PM
Hi Gary-
This is from Cal Skomski Allen Park, MI.
I still have your BR5-49 business card you gave me when I met you while standing outside at Robert's in Nashville 1995; for the folks out there, it was just before you cats made it.
I also kept the Nashville Music Guide with BR5-49's full page picture on the front.
The article and picture, prompted me to come down and see you guys.
It was a rush hearing your name and sound on Detroit's WJR 760 am today.
I'll try to catch your act
the next time you are in town.
By the way, I met a cute blonde female singer named Julie Carter that same weekend; she said she knew you- if you know her, or her whereabouts, slip her my e-mail address- I wrote several songs for her, but lost contact.
One of those songs may be on a Nashville artists next CD.
Best to you and your music career.

Cal

I saw on the CNN ticker tonight that it's Chuck Mead's 44th birthday today. That led me to the new BR549 web site that I haven't visited in a long time. Nothing new or interesting there EXCEPT the LINKS page which led me here! I was lucky enough to see Gary perform live dozens and dozens of times with BR5-49 but had my world tragically rocked in 2000 with the dismantling of my 3 favorite bands: The Black Crowes, BR5-49 & The V-Roys. While I have enjoyed solo CD's & concerts by founding members of those bands: Chris Robinson's New Earth Mud, Rick Robinson's Hookah Brown & Scott Miller & the Commonwealth... there has been a certain void without any Gary Bennett. His stage presents alone is worth the price of a ticket. I've never seen another performer step up to the microphone that way & the image of his face all snarled up singing his heart out is forever burned into my memory. I hope you enjoy the holiday season then get your ass back to work on that new CD! haha ~ Peace N' Soul ~

Ben - Sunday, December 19th, 2004 9:25 AM
Hey Gary, we miss you here in northeast Ohio, looking forward to new material or what ever you bring up. Where's Jay?

Gary, Looking forward to your new album. To everyone else out there, if you want to hear a classic gospel track go find A House of Gold with Gary leading the original BR5-49. I heard it on AM radio and it'll make you want to go back to church if you stopped! Awesome!

Dave - Wednesday, December 15th, 2004 5:32 AM
Gary, I saw ya a few years ago playing the University in Manchester, UK.. my mum got a kiss off ya.. she still talks about that :)
Was a great gig, and I can't wait to hear some more of your stuff! BR5-49 ain't the same without you in it man!

David Labarta - Monday, December 13th, 2004 9:21 PM
Hey Gary, I´ve been listening to both of the songs you have up at your website, and you really touched me! It was awesome to listen to you singing again after over two years. Listening to you singing again brought back lots of memories of all of those shows I attended over the years all over the Mid-West of this country. Miss seeing you live on stage, get back soon! don´t forget, you gotta get you a show in NC, keep in touch man. David.

Christopher H. Donahugh - Monday, December 13th, 2004 5:46 PM

I heard 'Ship in a Bottle' and 'The Game' in Chicago in early 2000. I couldn't sleep that night. Then 'Me and My Old Guitar' It's criminal to keep such amazing material off a record. The best bridges in music, hands down. Can't wait to hear some music.

Warren Moir - Tuesday, October 19th, 2004 7:39 PM
Gary, I think about just before you went to Nashville. You played some of your songs and listened to some of mine. You inspired me to start writing songs again. I had 17 at the time now it's about 600 and still writing. I am so glad you are getting back into the music business. I hate to see good talent go to waste.. Hope to hear from you one of these days . I'll be watching your web site for news. Warren

Jennifer "Jenny Sue" Bradshaw - Tuesday, October 19th, 2004 7:08 AM
